Madhatter Design & Accessories terms and conditions of business

At Madhatter Design & Accessories we produce bespoke items to your personal specifications. Because our products are crafted to order, we require a deposit to be made at the time you place your order.

Once your order is received we will begin making your bespoke item/s for you. For this reason we regret that we are unable to offer refunds or exchanges should your circumstances change, or should you change your mind after you have placed an order with us. Please note further that our acceptance of your order occurs at the time it is acknowledged.

We recognise that our customers often order our products for a particular occasion or event. To help us ensure that your item is ready in good time, you should place your finalised order with us within a minimum of four weeks in advance.

If you are unable to give us four weeks notice, please contact us directly to ask if we can help. We endeavour to work with our customers’ requirements as far as possible and will vary our Terms by undertaking to produce your item within a shorter period if we are able to do so.

It is important to us to ensure that your product arrives both intact and in good time. Unless we vary this agreement by agreeing some other mode of delivery or collection, we will despatch your item/s – securely packaged – using the following methods:

• Where the delivery address is within the UK, by guaranteed Royal Mail’s Next Day Delivery Service for which a signature is required on receipt. Currently the cost of postage is from £5.50 for hats and bags, and from £4.00 for headdresses, although this may change in line with postage increases, as and when they occur.
• International orders will, if accepted, be sent by Parcel Force or a similar provider the cost of which will be notified to you before despatch.

In either event the cost of postage is to be borne by you.

In the unlikely event of a product being lost or damaged in transit, Madhatter Design & Accessories must be notified immediately so that Royal Mail can be informed.

We contract with you to produce and despatch quality products, which correspond both with the description displayed on our web site and with the personal specifications that you indicate when you submit your order.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours that appear on our website.

However, as the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s colour will accurately display the colour of the product on delivery.

Whilst every care has been taken in the construction of this website, Madhatter Design & Accessories cannot be responsible for any virus or similar infection contracted while using our site.

We comply at all times with the law relating to the holding of personal data. Moreover, we see your personal data as private information and for this reason undertake not to pass them on to any third party, whether for commercial reasons or otherwise, without your consent. We will however, assume that you are happy to be placed on Madhatter Design & Accessories own mailing list unless you indicate to the contrary by e-mailing us.

These Terms, while forming part of your contract with Madhatter Design & Accessories should you choose to order from us, do not in any way affect your legal rights.
